Stripey Egg Plant Seeds (Eden Project range): A native of South America and originally nick-named the Egg Plant by the Spanish, because of course the fruit resemble large eggs. Grown in Britain since Victorian times, it was produced in association with tomato crops in greenhouses. Plants are quite easy to grow in conservatories or greenhouses and may succeed on a sunny patio. Famous for use in Mousakka
