Phostrogen moss killer and lawn tonic
When is the best time to apply Mosskiller
Mosskiller is best applied in spring and again if necessary in autumn
How do I apply it?
Apply it with a watering can dissolving four measures per gallon. Apply this to 9m2 of turf
Why does it treat such a small area?
Because Mosskiller works by literally burning off moss it has to be applied in a relatively strong solution
What causes moss in the lawn?
Moss grows in lawns which have low fertility, grow in shade, are damp or are cut to low so that the grass is scalped
How do I stop moss coming back?
Feed your lawn regularly with Phostrogen Feeds, raise the cutting height of your lawn mower, let more light get to the lawn or improve the drainage if it damp
Why must I rake it out after treatment?
If the dead material is not raked out the grass will find it difficult to regrow in its place. Also leaving the dead moss will encourage regrowth of the moss from spores.
Why is it not possible to apply Mosskiller through Phostrogen fertigation devices
None of The Phostrogen Feeding devices would dilute the Moss Killer at the correct rate to kill the moss. Also the Pesticides Safety Directorate does not allow pesticides to be applied through feeding devices that fit into hose pipes
Why should Mosskiller not be applied in summer?
At the height of summer when grass is dry there is a small risk that application of Moss Killer and Lawn Tonic may damage the grass
How does it work?
Moss Killer destroys moss by burning off the moss. It does this selectively because moss leaves are more delicate than turf grass leaves
What does the fertiliser element in Mosskiller do?
After the moss has died and been raked out, the fertiliser element stimulates the grass to grow filling in any gaps left by the moss and helping to stop any re invasion
