A combination of herbs together with vegetables is not only very decorative but is very useful in many ways...

Scented Herbs attract insects which in turn are responsible for the pollination fruits and vegetables.

A herb "shield" around the vegetables will keep pests like Slugs and Snails out. Chervil in particular is a good protection agent.

Ants detest herbs, especially herbs such as Lavender, Marigolds, Mint and Chives.
