Herb Combinations... Page 2

Herb And Vegetable Uses

A combination of herbs together with vegetables is not only very decorative but is very useful in many ways...

  • Scented Herbs attract insects which in turn are responsible for the pollination fruits and vegetables.

  • A herb "shield" around the vegetables will keep pests like Slugs and Snails out. Chervil in particular is a good protection agent.

  • Ants detest  herbs, especially herbs such as Lavender, Marigolds, Mint and Chives.

  • Having herbs around decrease the amount of Mildew and other fungal infections as the fruits and vegetables stay more healthier.
