Lovely and colourful plant groupings can be created with herbs in a flower garden whether you want to cook them or not. Some of the better examples are:

  • Marigolds with Red Basil.

  • Pansies with Golden Oregano and Chives.

  • Yellow and Red Gladioli with Nasturtiums.

  • Bergamot with Rue.

  • Marigolds with Lavender.

  • Lupines with Sage.

  • Thyme and Regal Lily.

Flowering Kitchen Herbs

People used to hide Chives and Parsley in the vegetable patch, nowadays it has changed. Chives and Parsley are now shown off in flowerbeds and are a very popular kitchen herb. Chives also combine well with Roses and Iris. Parsley is not as decorative and as pretty as the Chives herb but it does have a stronger taste. Just wait until its time to harvest them...
