The Dazzling Array Of Flowering Herbs
Herb Flowers
The flowers of herbs are spectacular, whether we talk about indoor herb gardens or outdoor herb gardens. The herbs natural beauty is more well recognized when there are other plants are around them. For example when Sage, Thyme and Lavender greatly enhance and bring out the character of roses so the herb plants are noticed.
Some of the most beautiful flowering herbs are Bergamot (Which produces amazing shades of red) and the Marigold herb (Which is a luscious orange-gold colour). They provide a nice spot of colour in herb gardens, but those herbs can also be planted with other highly colourful plants in a flowerbed.
Colours And Shapes Of Herbs
The flowers of the herb are varied but nonetheless spectacular. There are:
-
Single flowers
-
Daisy-like flowers
-
Blue spikes of the Lavender
-
Blue and white racemes of different herbs
-
Yellow and white umbels of the Fennel and Caraway
Herbs Invite Insects To Them!
The colour of the herbs flowers or the scent of the herbs is not originally meant for us people. The colours of the herbs in the flower and the scent that they bring attract insects to their pollen and nectar. Bees and Butterflies are the most frequently attracted insects, as they collect nectar. While they are doing this, the butterflies and the bees are making pollination possible. Butterflies love to collect the nectar from Sage, Lavender, Thyme and their most favourite of all the Oregano herb. In a herb garden, insects mostly visit during the heat of the day. A good tip for butterfly lovers is to plant Oregano, not only in your herb garden, but all over your garden.
