Barbs on the connector help to create a secure fitting between the tube & connector.

Please note: Simply 'bending' the tube into position would not be suitable as it would restrict the efficient flow of water through the tube, rather cut the tube & insert this barbed connector to create a secure 'bend' in the ¬" tubing.
