Rootrainers are an efficient container system widely used by commercial growers & have been popular with our customers for over 25 years! Easy to use, they enable you to grow a large number of healthy plants, with strong root structures using a minimum of space.
Suitable for raising seeds & cuttings, plants can be grown until they are strong enough to plant out without the need for 'pricking out' & 'potting on'.
Reusable Rootrainer Sets have 32 hinged segments, specially grooved to encourage the production of strong, straight roots & to stop the plant from becoming 'pot bound'.
Each segment is used to grow one plant, without disturbance, until it is ready for planting out.
The hinged design allows the plant to be removed without damaging the root system.
Each Rootrainer Set is supplied complete with a compact 8" (20cm) x 14" (35.5cm) holder enabling easy handling & maintenance.
Two depths available: 5" (13cm) ideal for trees & deep rooted subjects, 3" (7.5cm) more suited to shallow rooted subjects such as bedding plants etc.
Specially designed, optional, 3«" (9cm) high clear vacuum formed covers help to retain warmth & moisture encouraging growth.
