A high quality Waterproof (IP56) RCD Protected Single Socket suitable for use on the outside of house walls, in outbuildings or greenhouses. With an RCD (Residual Current Device) by the side of the socket if accidental damage is done to the appliance cable, it trips the RCD, cutting the electricity supply to the appliance.
This IP56 weatherproof socket is suitable for use when a plug is inserted & where there is exposure to dust, dirt or water.
The socket is water jet proof when plug is inserted & the lid is closed - so even in use they'll withstand the worst of the British weather!
Complies with BS7288, BS EN 61543, BS EN 60529 & BS EN 60669.
